4. ARRIVE EARLY TO THE STATION
On the day of your journey make sure you carry a hard copy of your ticket with an identity proof. Wear comfortable clothes for your journey and carry a quilt with you if necessary. To avoid a stressful boarding, reach your station at least half an hour before the train departure. Make a note of your platform number which is displayed on a board at the entrance of railway station and proceed to your respective platform. Make use of a lift/an escalator to reach your platform in case stair case is not a right match for you.
5. DO’S AND DON’TS AT THE STATION
After you reach your respective platform, handle your luggage with due diligence till your train arrives. Also, make a count on the number of bags you are carrying. It is advised not to don heavy jewellery to prevent any unforeseen incidents. Purchase the required food and beverages at the station itself as there are cases of poor quality food being provided on the trains. Pay attention to the announcements about the arrival of your train. Once the train arrives, check your name on the reservation chart at your respective coach and then board the train quickly as some trains do not wait too long.
6. WHILE ON THE TRAIN
Locate your seat numbers and sit accordingly. Place your luggage only in your given slots and lock them for additional safety. It is very risky to stand at the door-area while the train is in motion, so beware. Do not get down the train unnecessarily at any station other than yours. Get notified about your station’s arrival time before hand and plan your sleep accordingly. Wake up at least 30 minutes prior to your destination. Before you de-board the train make sure you have collected all your valuables and then get down the train. The train may not wait for long, so be quick in exiting the train.
And that’s it!! You are ready to experience an exquisite train journey amid witnessing the view of beautiful scenery passing by. Have a happy and a safe journey!!
